A strong internship resume is one page, with your contact details and objective at the top, followed by education, skills, projects/coursework, and any extracurriculars or certifications — in that order if you have no work experience. Use action verbs, quantify results where possible ('grew Instagram followers by 40%'), tailor it to each role, and always attach a short, specific message when you apply rather than sending a generic copy.
With no experience, lead with what you do have — education, projects and skills — not a blank 'Experience' section.

Mention the exact internship you're applying for, one relevant skill or project, and your availability — three sentences is enough. Avoid sending a resume with no message at all, and avoid a message so generic it could apply to any internship.
