Google Search Console is a free tool that shows exactly how Google sees your site — its search performance, indexing status and technical issues. To use it: verify ownership of your site, submit an XML sitemap, then regularly check the Performance report (clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position) to see what's working, and the Pages/Indexing report to catch pages Google can't or won't index. It doesn't tell you how to improve rankings directly, but it gives you the specific clues — which queries you rank for, which pages have issues — needed to make informed SEO decisions.
For most beginners, the Performance report is where the real insight lives — filter by query or page to see which content is already ranking just outside page one (positions 11-20), since those are often the easiest wins to push onto page one with a small content or on-page improvement.
Use Search Console on real, live websites, under a mentor. Our SEO internship is paid (₹3,000–₹7,000/month), runs 120 days, and leads to a full-time role up to ₹2.5 LPA for top performers.
